Carolina began dating Michel Duval, a Mexican producer, director, and actor, in 2016. While filming the American television series “Señora Acero,” the pair fell in love in 2016. Ironically, Michel portrayed the brother of Carolina’s character in the series. When they made an appearance as guests on the television talk program “Don Francisco te invita” in December 2016, they formally declared their relationship. The pair broke up in 2019 after dating for around two years.

Career
While talking about the beginning of her journey as an actress, she said,
I never thought about it. I became aware that something was lacking in my life when I was twenty years old. I was already a model, host, and announcer at the time, and I had even started my own business at the age of 19 in addition to my academic career, but I still didn’t feel full.
A director saw her and urged her to try out for castings at Azteca, Mexico’s second-biggest mass media corporation, shortly after she signed up for an acting class. Her first appearance on Mexican television was in the 2012 soap opera “Los Rey,” when she portrayed Delfina Rey Ortuña, also known as “Fina.” She portrayed Carmen Bravo Diaz in the Mexican drama “Las Bravo” in 2014.
She gained notoriety in December 2016 when she portrayed Vicenta Acero, a respected and dreaded coyote who smuggled immigrants over the U.S.-Mexico border, in the American telenovela “Señora Acero” (Season 3). “Señora Acero” became the most viewed Spanish show during its time slot in 2017 with its fourth season.

In 2019, she debuted digitally as Clara Díaz, the lead character in the Mexican comedy series “Claramente.” The show’s plot centers on Clara, a journalist who has a remarkable talent for reading men’s thoughts.
